Preparing for recovery after joint surgery

Help manage discomfort

Cold therapy may temporarily ease pain and swelling after surgery or injury. The response varies by person and procedure.

Cold and compression together

NICE1 combines controlled cooling with pneumatic compression. Your clinician decides which functions and settings belong in your plan.

No ice refills

The NICE1 cools without an ice filled cooler. That means fewer supplies to manage while you follow your recovery plan.

Use it with clear instructions

Cold therapy can injure skin if used incorrectly. Discuss reduced sensation or circulation problems with your clinician. Follow the prescribed schedule and barrier instructions. Stop and contact your clinician for new numbness, burning, unexpected pain or skin changes.
